Planning Analyst

Short Description: Under the direction of the Transit Planning Manager, as the Planning Analyst you will be responsible for managing multiple data streams that come into and out of the planning department. This person will serve as a project lead on grant applications and major planning projects such as the Coordinated Human Services Transportation program as well as be responsible for collecting, maintaining, coordinating, analyzing, and reporting various planning data, including customer surveys, and the National Transit Database. The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, graduate degree preferred, in a related field, and a minimum of two years professional experience working with data gathering and analysis from various databases and sources, developing reports, summaries, recommendations, visual presentations, creating maps, and performing complex geospatial and other data analysis. And/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of principles and practices of transportation or public transit planning activities is desirable. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access is required. ESRI GIS software knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with MTA/RTA transit routes, survey software, and federal grant programs is advantageous. Salary Range: $37,825 - $49,173/annually.
